Insulin Resistance & Prediabetes Foundations
A small-group, education-focused program exploring nutrition and lifestyle factors
Program Overview
Insulin Resistance & Prediabetes Foundations is a small-group, education-focused program designed for adults who want to better understand insulin resistance and blood sugar—without extremes, rigid rules, or diet culture.
This short-term guided group experience provides clarity, structure, and practical next steps in a supportive setting, grounded in evidence-based nutrition and lifestyle strategies.
This program is ideal if you:
Have been told you have insulin resistance or prediabetes
Feel confused by conflicting nutrition advice
Want practical guidance that fits real life
Are looking for education and support before things progress further
This program is not intended for individuals currently using insulin or sulfonylurea medications, as those needs are best supported through individualized medical care.

Foundations & clarity
We start by building a shared understanding of what insulin resistance actually is—and what it is not.
Topics include:
What insulin resistance means physiologically
How blood sugar, insulin, and metabolism are connected
Common myths and misconceptions
Why insulin resistance develops (including genetics, lifestyle, stress, sleep, and hormones)

Practical strategies, not rigid rules
This week focuses on nutrition patterns that support blood sugar and metabolic health—without extremes.

Timing, consistency, and flexibility
Common pitfalls and why “perfection” backfires

Beyond food alone
Blood sugar regulation is influenced by much more than diet. This week explores the non-nutrition factors that play a major role.

The impact of sleep and circadian rhythm
Stress, cortisol, and nervous system regulation
Movement and activity (what helps vs. what doesn’t)
Midlife and hormonal considerations

The final week is about integration and forward planning.
