Understanding blood sugar and metabolic changes during midlife — together.

A small, education-based group designed to help you understand insulin resistance, blood sugar changes, and common metabolic shifts during midlife — including how hormones influence what you’re experiencing. Expect “real talk” in a relaxed atmosphere with other women who can relate to what you are going through.

This group focuses on clarity, context, and realistic lifestyle strategies that support blood sugar, weight, energy, and overall metabolic health. You don’t have to go through this alone.

Metabolic Changes for Midlife Women: Blood Sugar, Hormones, and Real life

Group Timeline
Enrollment open
Group begins: April 2026
Format: Small, education-focused virtual group

Who This Group Is For

This group is designed for adults—especially women in midlife—who want a clear, practical understanding of insulin resistance, metabolic health, and common changes that occur during perimenopause and menopause, without extremes, shame, or rigid rules.

You don’t need to overhaul your life or become a nutrition expert. You just need curiosity and a desire to understand what’s happening in your body—and why.

This group may be a good fit for you if you:

  • Have insulin resistance, prediabetes, or a rising A1C

  • Are noticing changes in weight, energy, cravings, or blood sugar regulation during midlife

  • Are experiencing metabolic shifts related to perimenopause or menopause and want to understand how hormones, nutrition, stress, sleep, and movement all interact

  • Feel confused or overwhelmed by conflicting nutrition advice and want guidance that is evidence-based, realistic, and human

  • Want to understand what’s actually happening in your body—not just what to “do”

  • Prefer a supportive, structured, and relaxed education-focused virtual group (not lectures or pressure to be perfect)

  • Are looking for sustainable strategies rather than quick fixes or restrictive plans

  • Want tools and explanations you can actually use in real life

You do not need to be “perfect,” track everything, lose weight, or already know a lot about nutrition to benefit from this group.

This Group Is Not For

This group may not be the best fit if you:

  • Are seeking individual medical care, medication management, or personalized treatment plans

  • Have Type 1 diabetes or Type 2 diabetes requiring intensive medical management

  • Are looking for a strict meal plan, detox, or rapid weight-loss program

  • Prefer a one-on-one coaching model rather than group education

This group is education-focused and designed to support — not replace — your medical care.

This group is designed for adults navigating insulin resistance, prediabetes, and metabolic changes in midlife, including those related to perimenopause and menopause, with a focus on understanding what’s happening in the body and supporting long-term metabolic health.

What We’ll Cover

In this group, we focus on understanding insulin resistance, prediabetes, and metabolic changes in a way that makes sense for real life—especially during midlife and menopause.

This is practical, evidence-based education designed to help you connect the dots, not memorize rules.

Topics we’ll explore include:

  • What insulin resistance actually is (and what it isn’t)—and why it often shows up in midlife

  • How hormonal changes during perimenopause and menopause affect blood sugar, metabolism, weight changes, and energy

  • Why common advice like “eat less” or “move more” often stops working

  • What actually supports blood sugar and metabolism — without rigid rules

  • How muscle, movement, and strength training support insulin sensitivity

  • The impact of sleep, stress, and cortisol on blood sugar

  • Common myths and misinformation around insulin resistance and menopause

  • How to make informed, confident choices moving forward

This group focuses on understanding, not perfection—so you can respond to your body with clarity instead of frustration. It’s a relaxed, welcoming space where real-life experiences help bring the education to life. 😊

Weekly Breakdown— Understanding Metabolic & Hormonal Changes in Midlife

Week 1: What’s Actually Happening in Your Body in Midlife

  • A clear, judgment-free explanation of insulin resistance, metabolic changes, and why they often show up in midlife

  • How hormonal shifts during perimenopause and menopause influence blood sugar, weight regulation, energy, and cravings

  • Reframing “this isn’t working anymore” as physiology — not failure

This week is about understanding — not changing everything.

Week 2: Food, Metabolism, and Real Life

  • How meals affect blood sugar, metabolism, and energy in midlife (without counting or rules)

  • Protein, fiber, timing, and balance — what what actually supports metabolic health during hormonal shifts

  • Making sense of nutrition advice without feeling overwhelmed or restricted

Think clarity and confidence, not perfection.

Week 3: Stress, Sleep & Hormones — The Pieces We Can’t Ignore

  • How stress, sleep disruption, and cortisol impact metabolism, weight, blood sugar, and daily energy in midlife

  • Why “just try harder” often backfires during hormonal transitions

  • Small, realistic lifestyle shifts that actually support metabolic health and nervous system balance

This is about working with your body, not fighting it.

Week 4: Putting It All Together

  • Connecting the dots between food, hormones, stress, metabolism, and daily life

  • Identifying patterns that matter (and letting go of the ones that don’t)

  • Leaving with a clear, realistic framework you can return to as your body continues to change

You won’t leave with a checklist — you’ll leave with understanding.

This group is designed to feel relaxed, supportive, and informative — with plenty of space for questions and conversation. There’s no test, no pressure to “get it right,” and no expectation to change everything at once.

Sessions include clear, approachable explanations of how hormones like insulin, estrogen, cortisol, and others interact to influence blood sugar, metabolism, weight changes, and energy — without needing a science background.

What This Will Feel Like

This group is designed to feel supportive, informative, and approachable.

You can expect:

  • Clear explanations without medical jargon or overwhelm

  • Space to ask questions and connect the dots in real time

  • Thoughtful discussion, not pressure to “do it right”

  • A calm, encouraging environment where learning feels doable

We’ll take the science seriously—-> but keep it grounded, human, and usable.
You’ll leave sessions feeling more informed, more confident, and less alone in what you’re experiencing.

This is education you can breathe through.

What This Group Is Not

This group is education-focused, not medical care or a prescriptive treatment program.

It is not:

  • A weight-loss program or diet plan

  • A strict meal plan, detox, or elimination protocol

  • One-on-one medical care or individualized nutrition therapy

  • A replacement for care from your physician or healthcare team

  • Focused on perfection, tracking everything, or “doing it right”

  • Rooted in shame, fear, or extremes

The goal is education, clarity, and informed choice—not control or restriction.

While this group centers on midlife metabolic changes, the education may also be helpful for adults navigating insulin resistance or prediabetes at other life stages.

Led by Me

Hi, I’m Stephanie Fry 😊

I’m a Registered Dietitian, Registered Nurse, Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist, and Certified Menopause Coaching Specialist. I work with women navigating insulin resistance, blood sugar shifts, and broader metabolic changes during midlife.

I created this group because I see how confusing and frustrating these changes can feel — especially when you’re doing “all the right things” and not seeing expected results. They’re told to eat less, move more, or try harder—without anyone explaining why things have changed.

In this group, my goal is to help you understand what’s happening in your body in a way that feels clear, practical, and supportive. We focus on education you can actually use—without extremes, shame, or pressure to be perfect.

I take the science seriously, but I also believe learning should feel approachable, relatable, and human. This is meant to be a space where you can relax, ask questions, connect the dots, and leave feeling more confident in the choices you make moving forward.

Ready to Take the Next Step?

If you’ve been feeling confused or frustrated by changes in blood sugar, weight, or energy—especially during midlife—you’re not alone.

This program is designed to help you understand what’s happening, learn what actually helps, and move forward with clarity and confidence. You don’t have to figure this out on your own.

Enrollment is now open.

Enrollment will be limited to keep the group small, supportive, and conversation-friendly. It will close once the group is full.
